Terrain Description

Classic Chiltern undulating slopes covered in mature beech or mixed deciduous and conifer. Brashings and undergrowth are limited.

Entry by midnight Sunday 16th Feb 2020: Seniors £20.00, Juniors & Students £9.00.

No entries after Sunday 16th Feb, or on the day.

SI Air dibber hire: (Seniors and Juniors): £2.00 per dibber

Marquee, Toilets, First Aid, Compass Point, Tom's Diner (British and Continental Catering)

Basic camping pitches will be available on Saturday night after the British Night Championships for those wanting to stay for the Chiltern Challenge on Sunday. See below for further details.

Further Information

SI Touch-free electronic timing
The event will have SI Air enabled.  If you do not have a SIAC card you can hire one from us for £2.  If you have an SI card (i.e. non-Air) you are welcome to use it if you wish. Your time, however, will be a bit longer as a result. Our advice, therefore, is to hire a SIAC card for the event.

Event Safety Requirements
A backup lamp and whistle are compulsory and will be checked.
If conditions warrant it, you may be required to carry a hooded waterproof jacket.

Advice for Junior Entrants M/W14 and below
You must satisfy yourself that M/W14s and below (and all junior entrants) are competent night orienteers capable of completing their courses. You may be asked to provided evidence of the competency of M/W14s and below in completing TD4 and night orienteering courses. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to such competitors who cannot demonstrate the necessary experience. Please contact the Organiser for further information if necessary.

Split Start Times
The narrow start window for this event makes providing split start times difficult. We will try to meet such requests as best we can.

Traders
Rom has told us that he will be bringing his CompassPoint shop to the event.
Tom and Julie will be providing their usual range of foodstuffs from their catering wagon. They will be serving until at least 21:30, and probably later.

Camping
Basic tent, campervan and motorhome pitches are available overnight on Saturday 22nd February. Only facilities provided will be water and event toilets.
Fee: £10 when entering the event.
