Directions / Parking
Parking is limited around the farm buildings. Please car share where possible.
The farm is located about a mile south of Butler’s Cross. The recommended approach is from the north, via Butler’s Cross, which is about 1½ miles west of Wendover. The approach from the south – on the Missenden Road – has a blind corner when turning right into the minor road leading to the farm and is best avoided.
Beware orienteers walking to the start on this minor road.
Terrain Description
Undulating woodlands with a good path network. There are many large and small earth features such as pits and earth banks in the variable woodlands. The woods are a mixture of Chiltern beech and plantations. A few of these planted areas are out of bounds. An area of wet pits in the North-West of the area is also out of bounds as the dry surface is deceptive. There are areas with high bracken and undergrowth which are currently dying back, the courses are planned to avoid most of these but do heed the green screen marked on the map.
The Map
A4, 1:7500 scale and has been updated in the past few months by Andrew Chalmers. Courses generally avoid areas of undergrowth. Symbols are ISOM 2019 x 200%.Start Times

Starts will be from 10.15 to 11.45am.
There is a 450 metre walk from the TVOC tent to the Start. The route to the Start and from the Finish requires crossing the access road, so children should be accompanied. Continue along this track downhill past the Start and retrace your route back to the Download Tent where you will receive your results slip.
