MapRun event in Oxford. Based at The Victoria, 90 Walton St, Oxford OX2 6EB. Planner: Paul Eaton.

The Victoria have very kindly agreed to host us after some armtwisting. This is a very popular pub (my favourite) so it’d be great to get as many people staying afterwards as possible (they’re known for their pies)!

Event cost £3, cash only.

Due to it being an urban event, participants must be aged 16 or over.

The event will use the MapRun app. In the app, go to UK/Thames Valley/TVSS and the event name starts OxfordJericho24. Note there is only one course this time, a 60-minute score course, since we seem to have settled on having just one league (no A and B options). Paper maps will be used and issued at the event, so if you do not have the MapRun app you may still take part using `honesty punching’ and a watch. The event is PIN-protected and you will get the PIN at the pub. If you are using MapRun on a suitable Garmin watch, no PIN is needed.

To ensure map availability please register, ideally by Sunday evening before the event.

Parking: Jericho can be an awkward place to park. There is free 2 hour parking at the eastern end of Leckford Road on both sides of the road. There is also a very good amount of paid parking along Great Clarendon Street.
