Level C, SCOA league and Yvette Baker Trophy Preliminary Round.

DATE:
Sunday 21st October 2012.

VENUE:
Kings Wood, on the outskirts of High Wycombe.

YVETTE BAKER TROPHY:
All clubs wishing to participate in the Yvette Baker Trophy competition must notify the organiser (alun.orienteering[at]gmail.com) of their intention to participate, and who their team manager is, by Sunday 7th October.

PARKING:
In the grounds of Kingswood School at GR SU 885936. Postcode HP13 7UN. Car park fee is £1 towards school funds.

Start and Finish are 5 minutes walk from the car park.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
The event is easy to get to by public transport, especially from London. High Wycombe station is on the Chiltern Line with trains from London Marylebone and Birmingham. The event centre is about 1.5 miles from the station, uphill, so a good 30 minutes walk. Alternatively, the number 33 bus runs from Castle Street (immediately across the road from the station).

TERRAIN:
Typical Chiltern mixed woodland, with a complex path network. Note that Blue and Brown courses will receive path-less maps, to ensure a better technical challenge.

MAP:
1:10000 pre-printed on waterproof paper. 5m contour interval. Updated 2012 from the previous 2010 map (which can be seen on the TVOC routegadget site)

COURSES:
White, Yellow, Orange, Light Green, Short Green, Green, Blue and Brown. Beginners welcome. Free String Course.

FEES:
Seniors £11.00 (£9.00 for BOF and SCOA members)
Juniors, students & groups on the junior courses £3.00
Emit card hire £1.00 per card – seniors and juniors

PRE-ENTRY:
Pre-entries have now closed. Start lists are at Fabian4.

ENTRY ON THE DAY:
Pre-entry has now closed, but entries will be taken on the day. There are between 10 and 20 spare maps on most courses, the exceptions being Green (27), Blue (27) and White (2, plus another 7 home-printed and bagged).

FACILITIES:
Squash, toilets, Ultrasport, Tom's cafe.

DOGS:
Permitted in the woods. Not allowed in car park. Please contact organiser for alternative parking options.
